Drawings

(8 artworks)

When I became a student in Tehran, because of the social and political atmosphere in Iranian Universities at the time, my social life became different to my academic life. I realised that we could do what we wanted, but we could not say what we thought. I began mainly to base my drawings on social and political themes. I saw the effects of these contrasting so-called "freedoms" in the faces and actions of those around me. Most of my works in this gallery portray the general effects of immoral politics on society.
